Museum Installation

Mark Dorf’s innovative 2021 film A New Nature was crafted with videography, graphic design, and VFX created under the Electronic Image banner—including image capture, color grading, editing, and installation across many locations. The film premiered at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, Switzerland, and was subsequently showcased at the Beijing Art and Technology Biennial, Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles, as well as The Public Works Administration in NYC. A standout moment was its commission to take over all the screens in Times Square as part of Times Square Arts’ Midnight Moment, an esteemed public program for digital art and video.

Each installation of A New Nature came with its own unique set of challenges—for example, managing compositions for different aspect ratios for over 100 screens in Times Square, or working with color requirements across many formats and technologies. Details like LED-backlit monitors for gallery installation created a more profound viewer experience. Electronic Image met these challenges head-on, ensuring smooth and successful design and executions that were met with critical acclaim.
